Booking didn't include breakfast. Likes: 1. just a few minutes walk to the east of the station 2. good eateries for breakfast (Most) and dinner (成巧寿司 - fabulous) close by 3. hotel fairly new 4. nice touch with Bach being played all day - organ in the morning at lobby (7th floor), flute/piano in the afternoon 5. free coffee/juice and snacks pretty much throughout the day 6. 7-11 downstairs 7. less congested and low noise level being on the east side of the station, although most of the city's action is on the west side

Everything are the best in your way. I cannot give the hotel 10/10 because the Chinese name of the hotel is a bit hard to find a map on-line.

Sendai was an excellent place to see the cherry blossoms!
Sendai was an excellent place to see the cherry blossoms! There are green scapes everywhere within walking distance of each other and great places to eat all around. Also highly reccomend the City museum. Very underrated city!

Unfortunately I was thinking of another hotel when I did my initial review so I badly underscored this hotel. My apologies to Hotel GrandBach - it is an outstanding hotel worthy of a 10 and not the 7 I gave it. Beautiful hotel, modern, clean, wonderful atmosphere, great facilities, amazing onsen, live music, free snacks and beverages in the lounge, friendly and helpful staff, easy location - I can’t commend it more.

Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason.
Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason. There's an insane amount of massively large and tall cedar trees everywhere! It's a very easily walkable city and if you need to go to parts beyond there's great transport links, either via the metro, overland train (JR), trams, or even the Sendai City Loople Bus - which takes you around to about a half dozen major attractions - think hop on / hop off.
Must see spots in Sendai are Rinnouji Temple, Zuihoden Mausoleum, Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle), and a little further out of the city (about an hour by train) is Yamadera Temple - not to be missed!
The city is centred around the massive train station in the centre of town and it does not disappoint. There's floors of shopping, restaurants, groceries, fancy food vendors, anything you could want. If you can't find anything in the labyrinthian corridors of the station, venture outside to the over 2500 restaurants and bars. I challenge you to not find something - anything - to satiate yourself with.

I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again!
I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again! The only problem that we had was the heat and humidity during the middle of September limited what we could do, but we made the most of our time at the Sendai train station-shopping!, the trees in the area were beautiful (I can see why they call it city of trees), we road the buses quite a bit (air conditioning) so we got to see quite a bit of the city, and made the most of the mall that was near the train station. Felt VERY SAFE there, the only con that I could say would be that unlike Tokyo, there were not to many people who spoke English but we expected that because our daughter works there, however she did most of the translating and figuring out the yen to buy things was actually quite easy, except for the coins. Navigating the trains was pretty easy, the people there knew some english and were quite helpful. It was a wonderful place to do it, very pretty and we will go again next year.

Tanebata is very nice to visit.
Tanebata is very nice to visit.
Castle was in our opinion not very interesting, Zui hoden is really worth a visit.
Beef tongue is a delicious dish!
Sendai is very good to visit Mashushima bay, and that is really a wonderful place to go
The staff is really friendly and helpful. They really care about their guests and remember their faces and room number to make daily interactions easier.
The beds are really big and comfortable, and the bathroom is relatively large and comes with towels, toothbrushes and soaps.
The location is amazing and very convenient. In just a few minutes you can reach the heart of Sendai.
I really fell in love with the city, and this hotel added to the charm of it
There are many dining options near Sendai Train Station. The hotel has excellent paid washing and drying machines. I used them. It takes three bus stops to reach Sendai Train Station. The room is not large, but since we arrived late, self-check-in was necessary. It is recommended for overnight stays for business or during a journey, as it is also reasonably priced.
I forgot belongings from another hotel. I requested the hotel to coordinate with the hotel at I forgot belongings. And then I received the belongings before checking out. I am very happy. I would to very thank you the hotel for their help. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to JR Sendai, only 300 meters. Clean room, free food, recommended.
Good place to stay in the center of Sendai. Many Izakaya around in the direct vicinity.
Room was clean and quiet. A twin room is a bit small but still reasonable. Breakfast was good average of Japanese business hotel standards. Price/valiue relation is considered good.
While the window cannot be opened, the aircon worked well and silent.
Facilities were clean, staff was friendly. It was a pretty good stay for a capsule hotel. The only issue is that it IS a capsule hotel, which can be quite cramped and drive you a little bit insane by the end of the trip. I recommend if you’re not bothered by conserving space and NOT seeing this as anywhere but a place to sleep.
For a 3 star hotel, the room was good sized and laid out well. It was clean and comfortable. Close to Sendai Station. Had a public baths too. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was okay, but not great. Would recommend for a 1-2 night stay if you want to be near public transportation.
I often stay at the R&B hotel chain when I travel, because I like their light European-style breakfast which is included.
This Hotel in Sendai is close to the station (10 mins walking) and looked very clean respect to other hotels of the same chain I stayed in the past.
The hotel is close to Sendai Station.
Breakfast was very good, especially the potato salad. There was also Curry available, which also was really tasty.
For using the washing machines and dryers, application at the front is necessary to get a four hour time slot.
The location! I love how it’s located at right next to the station with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The hotel is newer and has more space than the other Metropolitan hotel. The staff members are also very courteous. I will definitely stay here again
Good location from Toyota rental and 3 min. walk with 5-6 luggages to the hotel
There is grocery store in front of, strawberry and many kinds of orange are cheap and fresh. Love it so much
The service is good and many kind of amenities are available at lobby.
The location was great, next to Sendai Station and the popular district of Ichibancho. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a small fridge. Hot drinks and a water bottle were provided every day. There is a Family Mart right in front of the hotel.
This modern hotel is a short walk from the Sendai Station. It's clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice.
The staff were very helpful with suggestions to local events and locations. It's a great place for a short stay for a work or leisure traveller.
The Hotel is very accessible wherever you want to jam in the city and so close to Sendai station. I like the uniqueness of the property itself. Staff were very kind and hospitable. I’d love to come back again to enjoy the Spa next time. Thank you very much!
I spend my birthday in sendai. The hotel arranged a small gift for me to celebrate. It was kind and sweet of them. All the staff were exceptional, especially those in the front desk. They made my trip extra special and left a warm impression of Sendai.
Sendai is really a beautiful city. What makes it even better is to have a stay in this hotel. Clean room, complete facilities, kind staff, and great location.
If I visit Sendai again in the future, I will definitely choose this hotel again!
It is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was the 28th floor with views to the ocean. The room was huge. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows lovely and soft. It was a 10 minute walk from JR Sendai Station.
This hotel is exactly what we have come to expect from superior Japanese hospitality! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet, and charming, with an exceptional hotel staff. Free tea, coffee, and snacks in the lobby every day.
Excellent hotel, close to Sendai JR station about a 10 minute easy walk.
Super staff friendly and helpful, early bag drop off.
Super room, light and airy with a city view.
Brilliant laundry facilities using 100 yen coins.
Super spacious hotel rooms, especially for Japanese standards, comfortable bed, nice staff and close to Sendai station. It's not a big building which gives it more of a personal feeling.
Location! And Amenities.
Front staff was very efficient.
It rained while we were in Sendai but because the hotel is right next to the station, we had no issue.
